ORMED.DJO brings product innovations to the Orthopedics Congress

The company is responding to the challenges of today’s medical problems with innovative developments on all fronts.
Here are our most important new and enhanced products:

HYA-JECT^® PLUS expands the hyaluronic product line to include the treatment of osteoarthritis and traumatic changes to the synovial joints. With double the concentration of hyaluronic acid and mannitol as a free radical scavenger, HYA-JECT^® PLUS is designed primarily for patients who want to complete their treatment regimen in only 1-3 applications, and for those with surgically difficult-to-access joints. At a molecular weight of 1.5 million Dalton, HYA-JECT^® PLUS falls within the optimal range.

ACTIFIT™ is a novel synthetic implant that helps patients with irreparable meniscus damage to lead an active, pain-free life once again.
New tissue, similar to the meniscus, can form around the damaged meniscal tissue with the help of the porous, biocompatible scaffold provided by ACTIFIT™. The arthroscopically implanted ACTIFIT™ stands out due to its outstanding suture stability and its excellent intraoperative plasticity. Surgeons can use any standard suturing technique.

The new knee brace DONJOY® FULLFORCE™ with the special LoPro FourcePoint™ joint technology was developed to optimize treatment of injuries or instability of the cruciate ligaments. With increasing extension, gentle resistance is applied to the knee joint. This dampening helps to reduce the load on the anterior cruciate ligament. Three levels of dampening can be selected in the patented hinge, or the dampening effect can be switched off completely as needed. The light, stable frame is produced from top quality aircraft-grade aluminum and is anatomically pre-shaped. The tapered frame on the inside of the thigh is a highlight. DONJOY® FULLFORCE™ is available in standard length or with a shortened lower leg frame.

CERVICAL RS is the innovative, anatomically shaped cervical brace with a stabilization ring from ORMED.DJO. The patented stabilization ring combined with rounded, shape-retaining special foam ensures high stability and restriction of movement of the cervical spine. The brace is comfortable to wear thanks to the rounded foam edges and a skin-friendly cotton cover.

The new DONJOY^® DYNASTRAP™ back brace for stabilization and gentle support for the lumbar spine completes ORMED.DJO’s product range for the back. The light and breathable design with dorsal reinforcement rods ensures that the brace is very comfortable to wear. an adjustable lumbar pad and integrated abdominal pads provide the necessary support. individually adjustable double straps provide additional stabilization.
